Motherless Coping On Mother's Day

I am a fertility expert who has lead support groups, served on the board of RESOLVE and given thousands of treatments to women suffering and am currently writing a book about the emotional distress they endure during this time. Here are my professional suggestions
Girl Time: Go out with girlfriends on Mother's Day to explicity celebrate the joys of NOT being a mother and drink cocktails, stay out late and go to a weekend get away without anyone's children and absolutely not talking about children. Do the things Mother's with a lot of responsibility never get to do: stay out late, drink cocktails, sleep in. Celebrate being a woman, not a mother.
Spa Day: Indulge in a very high end spa day and explicitly tell them NOT to say "Happy Mother's Day" or "Are you a Mother"
Go Wild: Get that tatoo you always wanted. I'm serious. Once you become a Mother you feel you can't be the woman you once were. Somehow you feel as though you have to leave behind the wild, wonderous woman you once were. This of course is non-sense but celebrate the joys of being free from criticism.
Romantic Getaway: Go away for the entire weekend to a remote place that won't ask you every second if you are celebrating Mother's Day. Tell the maitre D that you are NOT a mother and do not want to be asked any questions on the subject.
Spoil Your Mom: Taking the focus off of you and putting it on your awesome Mom can help take the edge off for some. Go get pedis, facials and get food to go and sit in a park and read her your 10 favorite memories of what a great Mom she was to you.
Get Poked: Acupuncture not only enhances your fertility but it releases all the feel good hormones that help you let go of the fear about not being a mother, yet. Studies from Adelaide University have proven that if you are prescribed Traditional Chinese Medicine for Infertility you are twice as likely in 1/3 of the time to get pregnant compared to using fertility drugs or In-Vitro Fertilization IVF and an extra bonus it's a fraction of the cost.

Enhancing Fertility After Cancer

Preserving your fertility after cancer depends on what type of cancer, where and if the patient has sought treatment with chemotherapy, surgery or radiation yet. However, there are a lot of dietary changes and lifestyle changes you can make to combat cancer that will simutaneoulsy preserving your fertility.
Get to the point: Acupuncture has been proven to increase blood flow to reproductive organs and normalize the dysfunction of hypothalamic pituitary ovarian axis. Acupuncture improves ovarian function for women who previously have been diagnosed with annovulation a common diagnosis after cancer. It also significantly reduces stress that both having a diagnosis of cancer and struggling with fertility make the top 10 list of most stressful things a person can experience in their lifetime.ACUPUNCTURE & ELECTRO-THERAPEUTICS RES., INT. J., Vol. 22, pp. 97-108, 1997
Eat like a Rabbit: Not exactly, but it's critical to support the body with super anti-oxidants to attack free radical damage to the body and to reproductive organs that is associated with cancer.
Betacarotene is a super anti-oxidant found in cantalouple, carrots, pumpkin, mangoes, sweet potatoes.
In addition to Betacarotene, spinach and kale also have iron and help produce healthy sperm, eggs, endometrial lining which is essential for the embryo to implant in the uterus. The Spinach and Kale also have folic acid which helps prevent some birth defects.
Lycopene another major contributor to fighting free-radical damage in the body from radiation or unhealthy lifestyle includes: blood red organges, tomatoes, watermelon, guava, papaya and apricots. Eat as dried fruit or buy a nutri bullet to make fresh smoothies every day with water.
Gou Qi Berries- This is a super anti-oxdiant and it has been shown to improve follicle development (the first stage in ovulation). Eat these like raisins or add to your nutri-bullet. Extra bonus these have been used for thousands of years for women's health and infertility in China. Buy in a health food store or on-line.
Brocolli, Brussel Sprouts and Cauliflower: not only do they carry cancer fighting ant-oxidants, but they also are able to metabolize estrogen, excellent for women who have cancers fed by excess estrogen. These women should avoid yams as they act as anti-estrogens tricking the brain into making more estrogen.

ABC News Acupuncture Boosts IVF Rates by Over 50%

The Marriage Between Two Medicines

Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine have been proven time and time again for decades to increase fertiltiy in both men and women.  See www.EagleAcupuncture.com for more studies.  However, in the last decade a new brilliant experiment of marrying two complete systems of medicine to increase not only successful pregnancies but births in supposedly "infertile couples".  The results are astounding, miraculous and out-right awe inspiring.  Any person undergoing In Vitro Fertilization should demand the addition of Acupuncture to their procedure.  Anything less than that is unconscionable.

"There is no doubt, because this was a very well done study and it was reported in a very highly regarded medical journal, that doctors will sit up and pay attention to it," she said. "This is the first time we may have had a serious marriage between an art and science that is so many, many years old, and what is really cutting-edge technology, in-vitro fertilization."
